Count at the right location
Start a physical stocktake for the Shopify location you want to check. Replenly snapshots expected quantities so you can compare them with your physical count. Organize the count around the shelves and products your team is checking.
Confirm the location before counting. A count at one shop or storage area should not be treated as a count of all your inventory. Keep track of which areas have been completed so items are not counted twice.
Scan barcodes or enter counts
Scan with a USB or Bluetooth barcode scanner, or type a barcode or SKU, while recording the quantities physically present. You can undo a scan, and on a phone-sized screen the count list switches to cards that are easier to tap. You can also enter counts manually when scanning is not suitable. Check that the barcode belongs to the correct product variant.
A barcode identifies an item; it does not replace the physical count. Recheck products with similar packaging, multiple variants, or missing labels before you finish the stocktake.
Review variances before applying them
Compare counted quantities with the expected snapshot. Differences deserve a second look: recount the shelf and check whether another location, a recent delivery, or an inventory movement explains the mismatch.
Review the stocktake variances before applying inventory updates. Keeping that review step in the workflow helps prevent a mistaken count from becoming an inventory change you did not intend. You can export counts and variances as a CSV for any stocktake, including ones already applied.
Print labels for your inventory workflow
Replenly includes barcode label printing, including labels for purchase orders. Keep labels aligned with the products and variants you receive so the next counting session is easier to follow.
Before a large print run, check a sample label with your own printer and scanner. This page does not promise compatibility with every device or label format. Use the App Store screenshots to explore the current interface.
